Embraced

This is a little watercolor with a thin glaze of Kroma Crackle on it.  It has been made for a very special someone.  I hope she likes it  :)  Thanks for having a look!

An Added Abstraction

I have always loved encaustic and decided it was time to play around with it a bit.  I love the texture, but would like to have a bit more control during the application process-- I guess I will have to play a bit more  :)  This piece is acrylic, paper and encaustic on board, and has already been sold in support of hurricane relief.  Enjoy browsing  :)

Rescue Me

Outsider Art is a little harder to market because it can be a little raw.  I do, however, like how this piece has evolved from several earlier works  :)  It is my intention to sell it in support of Hurricane Relief, so I hope it finds a good home.  Thanks for checking in  :)

On the Up Side

I recently finished this acrylic and plaster painting on canvas and am really happy with how it turned out.  It will be sold in support of hurricane relief-- proceeds to Samaritan's Purse.  In my investigations, I have found that they have been very involved in relief efforts in North America as well as other coastal nations.  Thank you for stopping by!

Don't Look Away

This is an acrylic, alcohol and ink drawing done on paper.  While it is done from memory, it is a tribute to a very talented musician I know.  It is headed to the Medical Mercy gala as part of their silent auction.  Please check out this worthwhile charity if you get a chance--  http://www.medicalmercycanada.org/  Thanks for taking a peek!

It Comes in Waves

I am so fortunate to have some wonderful friends who like to get artsy when we are on holidays together  :)  I was able to create this piece recently while I was visiting with these sweethearts this summer.  It is acrylic, plaster and torn paper on a 90 year old cedar shake.  I love the colors and the texture  :)  Hopefully it will soon find a home in support of SEVA.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Cinnamon Girl

I have recently finished this acrylic and plaster painting and will be selling it in support of SEVA.  I love how the texture turned out!  Thanks for looking  :)

Deerly Beloved

This is the largest painting I have ever done.  It is 12" x 36" and is painted on a canvas that my son gave me.  I really struggled with this piece because of the plaster outline I laid down as a base-- my proportions were all off and I had to fight with her face every step of the way  :)  I am pleased with how she has turned out-- she will be going to the Medical Mercy Gala silent auction.  If you get a chance, please check out this organization and the great work they do--  http://www.medicalmercycanada.org/  Thanks for having a peek  :)

A Handle on Love (I)

I have created several rustic wooden box luminaries and have them for sale in my etsy shop in support of SEVA.  Thanks for dropping by  :)
