Sometimes the Poetry

"Sometimes the poetry comes only after there is nothing else left..."  This is a multimedia painting on board with lots of great texture.  Once more, I am hoping to sell it in support of SEVA, to restore eyesight to someone in a developing country.  Thanks for checking in  :)

The Green Birds of Happyness

This diptych was originally painted as a special request from a customer who had purchased an earlier painting on ebay.  The colors were chosen to match the bedroom renovation he was doing.  Unfortunately, as with most renovations, it ran over budget so he did not have money for original artwork, even though he loved the pieces.  I enjoyed the challenge of coming up with something based on his color descriptions, and am hoping that another ebay or etsy buyer will give these a great home.  Thanks for taking a peek  :)

Keeping an Eye on Things

So happy to have a lovely yard to attend to and a knight to watch over me while I do.  The queen (my piece of course) has a perch higher up another tree, but the knight (my hubby's of course) has a more sweeping angle in case defense is needed.  Would love to have some more artwork to show, but I have been distracted  :(  I do, however, have a 10% off sale going on in my etsy store if you would like to have a look.  Use the coupon code SEVA10 at the checkout, and enjoy!  Thanks for dropping by  :)

Discerning Faces I

This is a little portrait piece that I just finished.  I am hoping to do a series of faces that speak to me, painted on collage paper and sell them in support of SEVA.  I am quite happy with how he has turned out, and have already listed him in my etsy store.  Thanks for taking a peek  :)

Never, Yet Exactly as Planned

This is a watercolor mixed media piece that I finished recently.  I am hoping that it captures the spirit of the West.  It will go up for sale in my etsy shop in support of a charity I hold dear-- SEVA.  I hope it finds a good home  :)

Her Fancy Go Meeting Dress

This is a piece that I just finished yesterday.  I love the texture of the piece.  She will also be up for sale in support of SEVA.  I sold one piece the other day on ebay, so I am hoping she finds a good home as well  :)

My First Painting and Then Some

I have recently completed this piece, even though it was almost 18 years in the making...  It was one of my first paintings, but I was never really happy with it.  I have recently revisited it and have come up with something I like.  I will be selling it in support of SEVA, so hope it finds a good home  :)

Spirit is the Journey

This painting is one I finished yesterday.  I have never done anything with turtles before (even though I love them), so am quite happy with how this one turned out.  It is a birthday gift for a dear friend who is currently struggling with the loss of a loved one.  I chose the title from a Scatterlings of Africa song.  I hope she likes it  :)

Mending My Patchwork Heart

This little piece has lots of great texture because of the collage papers on the canvas.  It was fun to play with.  I have added it for sale in my etsy account in support of the charity, SEVA  :)

Window to My Heart

This is a mixed media piece done on vellum and sandwiched between plexiglass.  It was then mounted on an 80 year old cedar shake from a garage my son and I tore down.  Like all of my artwork this year, it is for sale in my etsy shop (LeanneE) in support of SEVA, a charity which restores eyesight to people in 3rd world countries.  Thanks for dropping by  :)

At Home

I really like how this one turned out, so I bought a frame to show it off.  It is an 8 x 10 inch mixed media acrylic painting.  Like all of my work, it will go up for sale in support of the charity, SEVA, which restores eyesight to people in 3rd world countries.  I hope that someone gives it a good home  :)

Listen with your Palette Paper Heart

Wow it has been so long since I have had anything to show that I almost forgot how to make a blog entry... This mixed media assemblage art journal was created thanks to Heather Brewster :)  She brought materials and came over to play one day. I like how it has turned out, and will play around with the crackle glaze a little more. Thanks so much for your kindness and your friendship, Heather!
